Working Method HumanDimensions

Every action leads to a reaction

Every question is different. And behind every question, there is usually a whole world of other questions, solutions and ideas. The first challenge is to jointly determine what question we have to answer in order to achieve the desired results. And, of course, what actions are necessary to achieve the goals set and who the best people are to facilitate this process.

Following an exploratory no-obligation consultation, we will determine which of the partners in the HumanDimensions network best fulfil your requirements. We make this selection on the basis of expertise, style and working methods. Together, we will determine the most effective interventions to answer your questions, whereby we can make use of a range of tools and methods.

Facilitate, not dominate

Our aim when working with you is to facilitate as much as possible: to invite and challenge people to take control of their own personal learning process, as well as the organisational process (of change). In practice, this means good cooperation with the responsible managers, and interventions that correspond to everyday working practices. Interventions may not distract from the core tasks, but  should form a dynamo to power the taking of measures.

Individuals and networks

We consider it important to activate both the individuals and the networks within an organisation in the desired direction. No man is an island, but part of an endless chain of connections that we can and must activate to arrive at real change.

We strive to create interventions that have impact both on the system as a whole, as well as on the individual employee.

It is all about warming-up...

Our starting point is that people don’t have to unlearn anything. In any process of change or development, what counts is learning something new. Together with the participants, HumanDimensions looks for the motivation and creativity of each participant, in order to create space for different, new ways of working and communicating. Questions that arise during the learning process include: how can we expand the behavioural repertoir, think more flexibly and resolve situations better in order to achieve the desired results?

Creative action methods

HumanDimensions uses Creative Action Methods in all its coaching and training interventions, including working methods drawn from voice dialogue, psychodrama and socio-drama. The starting point is that people discover for themselves what the effects of their current behaviour are and in doing so explore (new) choices. Looking at present, past and future in a stimulating and challenging way.

Cultural stepping-stones model

To understand and facilitate the abovementioned processes and interactions to the full, we use the stepping-stones model developed by Jitske Kramer and described in her book ‘Managing Cultural Dynamics’. This model offers a clear insight into the complexity of the dynamics of difference and the steps needed to realise intensive interaction.
